Content Playbook

A guide to capturing the people, movement, setting and details that make a Beach Town Pops activation feel memorable. The goal is not simply to document the cart. The goal is to tell the story of the event.

The Objective

Tell the Complete Story

Strong content should make someone understand what the activation looked like, how it felt and why Beach Town Pops made the event special—even if they were not there.

Ask yourself: “Would this footage make a future client want Beach Town Pops at their event?”

Beginning

Establish the location. Capture the exterior, venue signage, neighborhood, arrival experience and the completed setup before service begins.

Middle

Show the activation in motion. Capture guests approaching, choosing pops, interacting with staff, unwrapping the product and enjoying the experience.

Details

Capture close-ups of custom sticks, wrappers, branded panels, flavors, hands serving pops, textures, signage and thoughtful styling.

Atmosphere

Include the larger event: décor, fashion, displays, DJs, entertainment, crowds, architecture and any activation features that help establish the setting.

Order of Priorities

Know What Comes First

Content matters, but it must be captured without compromising product safety, professionalism or the client experience.

  1. Protect product quality and safety. Keep the pops properly frozen, monitor the cart and follow all handling instructions.
  2. Deliver an exceptional client experience. Be attentive, polished and responsive. Address urgent client needs immediately.
  3. Make sure the activation looks presentation-ready. Correct messy displays, empty wrappers, clutter, crooked branding or anything that should not appear in photos.
  4. Capture the assigned content. Work intentionally throughout the shift instead of waiting until the end and hoping enough footage is available.
  5. Support service when needed. Step in when there is a rush, another team member needs support or guest service requires immediate attention.
03

Create the Moment

Do Not Wait Passively

Great event content often needs light direction. You are allowed to create a brief, natural moment rather than waiting for the perfect scene to happen on its own.

  • It is okay to pause active service for a couple of moments when coverage allows so you can capture clean footage of the cart, products or team.
  • Coordinate with the other team members first so guests are not left unattended and the product remains secure.
  • Ask a team member to serve, unwrap a pop, adjust the display or repeat a simple action so you can capture it properly.
  • When appropriate, politely invite a willing guest or team member to participate in a quick natural-looking shot.
  • You may ask someone to approach the cart again, accept a pop, hold it near the branding or take a first bite for a short clip.
  • Never delay a guest for an extended period or allow a content moment to interfere with an urgent client request.

Do not simply observe the activation. Notice what is missing, direct the moment and make the scene work.

When the Bonus Is Offered

Required Deliverables

Content creation is not required at every event. When an optional content opportunity is offered, Beach Town Pops will notify you before the event. To qualify for a content bonus, complete the assigned deliverables below unless your event instructions specify otherwise.

25

Vertical Video Clips

Capture varied clips that are approximately 3–8 seconds each. Include wide, medium, close-up, moving and stationary footage.

5+

Final Photos

Submit at least five strong, intentional photos showing the product, branding, setup, people and overall environment.

1

Complete Story

Capture enough coverage to create one polished 45–60 second event highlight reel without requiring additional footage.

Quantity alone does not qualify. Files must be clear, intentional, and high quality.
