CALLING ALL ON-SITE EVENT MANAGERS — BEACH TOWN POPS

Welcome to Beach Town Pops.

We create gourmet freeze pops for luxury events, brand activations, and private clients across Los Angeles. Our team represents the brand onsite and ensures every activation runs seamlessly.

What this role is not: This is not a traditional server position, and it is not a typical Brand Ambassador role.

While there are elements of hospitality and brand representation, your primary responsibility is to lead, manage, and own the eventfrom setup through breakdown, ensuring every activation runs smoothly and reflects the Beach Town Pops brand.

This is a high-trust, independent, event-based management and leadership role for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable making decisions without constant supervision.

If you do not have prior management, leadership, or event coordination experience, this position is likely not the right fit and we encourage you not to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Pick up the Beach Town Pops cart, product, and materials from Redondo Beach

  • Transport everything safely to the event location

  • Set up the cart quickly and professionally

  • Serve guests and represent the brand with confidence and energy

  • Communicate with the client and handle any on-site needs

  • Capture light photo/video content for social media

  • Break down, clean, and return equipment after the event

You will often be working independently, so being proactive and resourceful is essential.

What This Role Is

  • well-paid, structured event-based management role

  • A chance to work at high-end events and unique venues

  • A position where you are trusted to run the activation without supervision

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not a casual or last-minute gig

  • Casual “server” role.

  • Not a role for someone who needs a highly flexible schedule

  • Not a “show up and be told what to do” position

When you commit to an event, you are responsible for executing it.

Who This Is A Great Fit For

  • People with event management, or leadership experience

  • Natural leaders and problem solvers.

  • Individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and take initiative

  • Strong communicators who can represent a premium brand

  • People who prefer clear expectations and being trusted to handle things independently

Key Expectations

  • Reliability: Once you commit to an event date, it is locked

  • Punctuality: Events require early arrival and precise timing

  • Professionalism: Clean, polished appearance and strong client interaction

  • Ownership mindset: You solve problems without needing constant direction

Logistics Overview

  • Events vary across Los Angeles, Orange County, and surrounding areas (including Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, and San Diego)

  • Equipment pickup and return is in Redondo Beach

  • Event days can be full-day commitments depending on travel and timing

Compensation

  • Competitive flat rate per event (based on scope and location)

  • Priority booking for reliable team members on future events

Important

This role requires someone who is comfortable committing to scheduled event dates in advance.
If you are primarily looking for flexible, last-minute gig work, this will likely not be the right fit.

If this sounds aligned with how you like to work, we’d love to have you on the team.

How to Apply

Please email your resume and Instagram profile to sales@beachtownpops.com.

In your email, please answer the following questions:

  1. Do you have prior management, leadership, or event coordination experience? If yes, please describe your experience. If no, this position is likely not the right fit.

  2. Can you provide two professional references who can specifically speak to your management, leadership, or event coordination abilities? Please list their names, relationship to you, and contact information. References will be checked during the hiring process.

  3. Tell us about a time you had to solve a problem independently without being told exactly what to do. What happened, and what was the outcome?

  4. Imagine you arrive at an event and discover the setup location has changed, the client has a last-minute request, and the timeline is behind schedule. How would you handle the situation?

  5. Why are you interested in this position instead of a traditional server or Brand Ambassador role?

  6. This role requires independently managing event logistics, communicating professionally with clients, setting up and breaking down equipment, making decisions without constant supervision, and representing a luxury brand. Are you comfortable taking full ownership of an event from start to finish?
