Bring Your Own Alcohol To These 7 Gorgeous Wedding Venues in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles area is a perfect place to have a wedding because in terms of scenery, there is a little bit of everything. There are many beaches, mountains and hills, vineyards, and many areas to have an urban or garden wedding as well.

Whether it’s a huge celebration or a casual Saturday evening, drinking alcohol is consumed and loved by many. It relaxes us, makes us feel more confident, and lets us have more fun with our friends and family. Alcohol allows us to get closer to our friends and family. For the time we enjoy a drink or two, it removes the stress that work and life throw at us.

However, adding an open bar to your wedding budget can add up real fast.

Here at Beach Town Pops we’ve created this guide so you can create a budget friendly wedding, while getting your crew pleasantly buzzed.

A party isn’t a party without alcoholic beverages!

And a party isn’t a party without our boozy freeze pops from Beach Town Pops! ;-)

Serve your guests our boozy freeze pops at your next wedding in LA

Adults love to enjoy their times at parties, weddings included. The problem with venues is that many of them don’t allow you to bring your own alcohol. Though they provide the alcohol at the venue, they may not have your drink of choice or the drink of choice for your guests. If you are having your own wedding at your home or the yard of a friend, then this isn’t anything for you to worry about because there are no limitations.

Alcoholic desserts for weddings

Keep your guests nice and cool with our alcoholic freeze pops at your next Los Angeles wedding.

We believe your wedding should be the most important day and should exceed your expectations.

That is why we did our research to find some wedding venues in the Los Angeles area that allow you and your guests to bring your own alcohol!

  1. SmogShoppe

In the heart of Culver City’s art and design district is SmogShoppe. What was once a smog-check center in the 1980s is now a small but beautiful event venue with outdoor and indoor accommodations. The courtyard is a haven for desert plants and vertical gardens. SmogShoppe is not a whimsical romantic styled garden, it’s more urban with vintage chic furnishings with glass rollup doors that reveal the Grand Hall (which is the dining area). The Crow’s Nest is a private dressing room for the bride and/or groom. For weddings, SmogShoppe has a maximum capacity of 150 people so it’s perfect for a smaller wedding.

2. South Park Center

Thirty floors up located in Downtown Los Angeles is the City View Penthouse at South Park Center. This venue will give you a gorgeous view of all of Los Angeles which is one of the reasons why it’s so special. At night, you’ll see all the lights in the city, bright against the dark sky. The maximum capacity is 250 seated guests or 400 standing. South Park Center will provide tables and chairs. An open air Sky Deck is included in this venue rental so that you and your guests can enjoy the warm California breeze. This venue is a total blank canvas, meaning you have to bring your own vendors and decor, including insurance for each vendor.

One of the things that makes City View Penthouse at South Park Center stand out is the helipad. Yes, the helipad that you will get access to for photographs with no extra cost!

3. Millwick

This next venue is very similar to SmogShoppe, and that is because they belong to the same company Marvimon. Millwick used to be a cold-storage warehouse but is now a 7,000 square foot venue that has the vibe of an urban jungle. The Garden Courtyard is full of mature trees and vertical gardens to give a beautiful green scenery. The Grand Hall can be accessed through to large glass roll up doors to reveal hand-crafted wood tables and chairs as well as little living nooks and crannies that they call Magic Gardens. It is overall a gorgeous venue and has a maximum capacity of 175 seated guests or 250 standing.

4. The Houdini Estate

If luxury and big are two words you use to describe your future wedding, consider the Houdini Estate as your venue. The property has romantic gazebos, private gardens, a waterfall, a spring pond, a gorgeous house, and a glamorous environment. One of the great things about the Houdini Estate is the fact that there is only space for one event at a time, meaning no other parties will take place at the same time as yours. The entire estate is pretty much for you and your guests.

About 1,000 guests can be comfortably accommodated for your gathering so this venue is perfect for big weddings. Additionally, the bride and groom have the option to stay at the estate for the honeymoon to fully enjoy the iconic area.

5. Whispering Oaks Chapel

The perfect garden wedding venue is Whispering Oaks Chapel that is in the countryside just north of Malibu. A white country farm-style house is on the property and can be used as get-ready suites for the bride and groom. Outdoors, the scenery is very fairytale-like with oak, sycamore and majestic ash trees surrounding the area. A lavender garden and rose garden are also on the property, and they are perfect spots to take pictures.

The maximum capacity for Whispering Oaks Chapel is 150 guests. Since it is right by the beach, Whispering Oaks Chapel give you the option to have your wedding ceremony right on the beach!

6. Alexandria Ballrooms

Sitting in the historic are of Downtown Los Angeles is The Alexandria. It has four venues that have hosted so many amazing people since 1906. From Hollywood royalty to Winston Churchill, King Edward VIII, and Theodore Roosevelt, The Alexandria is a Historical-Cultural Monument.

Each venue has its own vibe and aesthetic. The King Edward has a royal aesthetic and has gold leaf ceilings, crystal chandeliers, a romantic fireplace, and tall windows. It has been featured in many Hollywood films and has hosted famous photo shoots. The maximum occupancy is 400 guests standing. The Palm Court is very luxurious with arched high ceilings, original chandeliers and Tiffany Skylights. It was the most prestigious ballroom event location of its time and can host a max of 500 guests standing.

The Mezz is an industrial-style ballroom that has brick walls, candle-light iron beams and a beautiful marble staircase upon entrance. The maximum capacity for this ballroom is 800 guests. It is surrounded by windows and skylights that give amazing views of the city. Their newest addition is The Bank which has a skylight for lots of natural light. It is also the smallest of the ballrooms but can still hold a max of 120 guests.

7. Castle Green

Castle Green is another Historic Monument in the Los Angeles area and is over 100 years old! Moorish, Spanish and Victorian elements were mixed together to create this building that was once a hotel. The ballroom can accommodate up to 300 guests standing or 200 guests seated at tables. There is a Bridal Sanctuary for the bride to get ready along with her bridesmaids. There are several sections of the property that can be used to hold the ceremony and you have the option to choose which best fits your wedding style. Only one wedding is hosted per day, and you have access to the entire ground floor on your special day!

8. The Majestic Downtown

Our last venue recommendation is another Downtown Los Angeles location. Three separate venues are available at The Majestic Downtown, and they are all absolutely gorgeous with 30 foot high Italian ceilings, arched windows, chandeliers, marble columns and marble floors. Whether the aesthetic is elegant or rustic, The Majestic Downtown is a venue that you should not pass over.
